If you know me very well, the answer to that question is very simple. Just go to my aunt’s house for one Thanksgiving meal and come back with enough leftovers for twelve meals.
How can I be so sure?
I just came back from lunch with her and took out some of those plastic trays that you get when you purchase take-out Chinese dinners. I put turkey, dressing, yams, corn, a roll, and gravy into twelve containers, sealed them up, and put them in the freezer. I will have twelve meals in the future, compliments of my aunt’s Thanksgiving dinner. That doesn’t count the containers of frozen pie for several desserts nor the salads in the refrigerator.
And, if you’re wondering, yes, this repeats itself at Christmas and Easter as well. 🙂
I hope your day is filled with love and warmth — and good food. Happy Thanksgiving!
