I got my day off this week. I was able to go out to my little condo in Michigan City. I haven’t been here in a little under three months. It’s nice to see that it is still standing!
I put up my tree for Christmas.
I also spoke with my travel agent this afternoon and booked my flight to Barcelona at the end of October 2018. I am going on a transatlantic cruise on what will be the brand new Symphony of the Seas.
I booked a “premium economy” ticket — extra leg room — for the flight. I will fly from Chicago to JFK Airport in New York, have a layover of just under two hours, and then fly from JFK direct to Barcelona. Purchasing this upgraded seat ticket came out about $200 cheaper than the regular economy ticket on another airline from Chicago direct to Barcelona. Heck, for an upgraded seat and a couple hundred dollars less, I’ll take a layover at JFK.
Finally, I also booked my hotel room for the day before the cruise. I am staying at the same hotel that I did before my transatlantic cruise on the Harmony of the Seas: the Crowne Plaza Barcelona Fira Center. Now, all I have to do is live that long. 🙂
