I am not one to rush Christmas. I think it comes around way too fast as it is. We never even get to celebrate Halloween anymore without having all sorts of Christmas decorations in the aisles at the store. The week before Halloween, local stores were discounting Halloween candy and putting out Christmas candy. Too fast, too fast.
As if to hurry the season, our town has gotten into the act as well. This morning, trucks were going down Calumet Avenue hanging decorations on the light poles. This evening, as I was driving home from the drugstore, I saw the lit decorations alongside the road. Too fast, too fast.
