Perfect Day At Coco Cay

I know that I might be driving some of you nuts with my upcoming vacation.  I’m really not trying to do so.  I’m just looking forward to getting away for a few days.  If I stay here, though, I might be able to cruise soon anyway.  We’ll all be needing boats if this darn rain continues!  Anyway, if any of you are interested, check out this web site to see what’s all offered at Coco Cay.

Tomorrow, I’m meeting my brother for lunch.  It will be good to see him and talk a week after burying his wife.  There’s so much that goes into the “business” of death that a person can get overwhelmed.  I went through that as executor for an aunt and one of my parishioners.  Kindly keep my brother in your prayers as he transitions in his life.

Saturday is First Communion.  Needless to say, our third graders are getting really excited.  I cannot wait to see their smiling faces on Saturday.  First Communion followed by investiture with scapular.  What a wonderful celebration!

Then, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday . . . I’m out of here!  🙂  I’ll have the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses and then am being picked up to be taken to Midway.  I will land at Orlando International Airport late afternoon and wait for a friend to pick me up and take me to dinner.  I usually see Kyle every January when we all (Kyle, Fr. Brian, and I) for our annual Disney vacation.  When I go down for cruises, though, we try to get together for dinner.  It’s a great way to touch bases with a good friend.

I’m feeling a bit less stressed at this point in time.  Thankfully, we didn’t have an inordinate number of funerals this week as we have had the past couple of weeks.  The weather is my only real concern at this point.  My arthritis and sinuses are both on dual attacks on my body.  Yikes!

All of you in  low-lying areas, I’m praying for you that the rising waters do not invade your homes!
