Seven Hundred and Seventy-Six. That is the collective number of years that our priest jubilarians have given to the people of God in the Diocese of Gary. Every year, we celebrate the ordination anniversaries of all the priests in the diocese and focus, most especially, upon jubilee years. This afternoon was no exception.
Mass was at 4:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Chesterton. After the Mass, we had dinner in the parish hall at which those celebrating their jubilees had a chance to share their stories with the rest of us. Such a rich and diverse group of people sharing their collective wisdom garnered through the years.
Congratulations to our jubilarians and congratulations to all my brother priests on the occasion of another year of service in our diocese!
