Today was an idyllically lazy day. I haven’t had this kind of a lazy day in a long time and, to be honest, I have to admit that I desperately needed it.
I woke up at my normal time — actually, my normal “sleep in” time — of 6:15 a.m. I was up to the Windjammer for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. I was good there, I really was. Had scrambled eggs, a couple of pieces of bacon, grilled tomatoes, and Coke Zero Cherry (for my caffeine 🙂 ).
After breakfast, I began to walk around the ship taking pictures.

After an hour or so of pictures, I came back to my stateroom and sat out on the balcony a while as the sun had finally progressed high enough in the sky not to bake me to a crackly crunch. The stateroom attendant had already vacuumed up all the love bugs that had died outside and I was actually able to enjoy the balcony!
At 11:30 a.m., I went back upstairs for lunch in the Windjammer. They had a really nice pan sauteed whitefish that was to die for. That and some fresh vegetables made for a great lunch.
When I finished with lunch, I started around the ship some more, taking more pictures and exploring. This is a huge ship and laid out completely different from other vessels I’ve been on thus far. I’m getting lost pretty much all the time. It’s frustrating yet intriguing!
After exploring, I did what any other person would do on a lazy day. I took an afternoon nap. Two hour’s worth!
After my nap, I got cleaned up and went to dinner. I had French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, and garlic tiger shrimp with fresh spinach and rice. Yum!
After dinner, I went picture taking some more, mostly stuff at the top of the ship as well as the setting sun. At 8:00 p.m., I made my way down to the theatre for the evening’s production. It was the singers and dancers doing a tribute to Queen and Elton John as well as Scott Cavanaugh, comedian juggler. His show is always fantastic! The theatre is really nice. I like how it is appointed.
Well, it’s 10:25 p.m. and the vestiges of my afternoon nap have long ago worn off. I’m heading to bed. Tomorrow is Nassau! G’night, all.
