I spent today trying to adjust to a new reality: no school in session. These things take time.
This place is incredibly different when there are no students here. Sometimes, it is only for a brief while such as holiday breaks. But summer vacation is a whole different animal. We will be turning over the building this summer, as in the past, changing many classrooms. Actually, we will be changing more classrooms than in the past since we are bringing our preschool into the building as well this fall.
But first, we have to get parts of the building ready for the summer festival. And then we get parts of the building ready for Vacation Bible School. Only then do we spend the rest of the summer preparing for the new school year.
But before all of that, I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the quiet. 🙂
