Eyeballs? Check.

Yep.  Checked and double checked.  Both eyeballs, that is.  This morning at 6:30 a.m., I went to my eye specialist to have the pressures in my eyes checked as I continue my battle with glaucoma.  Increased pressure can wreak even more damage to the optic nerves and potentially lead to blindness.  As you can well imagine, that is one scenario that I do not want to experience!

My pressures were holding their own with the intervention of three different eye drops daily.  That was good news to hear.

My next appointment is in three months.  It is my “big appointment”.  That is, my pressure check, visual field exam (where I sing “Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me!” when they put the eye patch on me), and a fully dilated eye exam.  That day is a “biggie” because it usually lasts at least two hours.

Thank God for doctors and their expertise.  Where would we be without them and the medications and procedures at their disposal?!
