Lost A Parishioner

Monday, I went to Community Hospital to anoint a long-time parishioner.  She had been told that she had 7-10 days to live.  Turns out she only made two.  Didn’t even have a chance to be transferred to the local hospice center.

I’ve been here nineteen years now and have gotten to know many parishioners quite well.  Jean was in charge of our environment and art committee for several years and she and her husband did many ministries.  It breaks my heart seeing so much of the “old guard” passing away these past few years.

Prayers for those who are near death as well as for the recently departed.  Prayers, as well, for all who grieve the loss of loved ones.
