The funeral for Jean Bados took a lot out of me today. It takes a LOT of emotion energy to be present to a family that is grieving. It takes tons more to be present to a family that is very involved in the parish. And it takes even more tons to do it over and over again.
The past couple of years, I have had to bury many a parishioner who was actively in living his or her faith, some from the pandemic cutting them down and others due to old age or illness.
Thank God we have the realization that we will see our loved ones again. It may hurt for a time here on earth but we will be reunited one day.
