When Jesus’ body was placed in the tomb on Good Friday afternoon, His followers thought that all was lost. They drifted away, some far away because of fear.
Liturgically, the Church waits in silence during Holy Saturday as we prepare for the Vigil Mass of Easter after sunset.
At 2:00 p.m., Easter baskets will be blessed in the church.
At 8:00 p.m., the Vigil Mass of Easter will take place.
Until then, we wait in silence, nursing our hope.
