Today was a typical Saturday with a twist.
I told the Carmelites that I would hear confessions on my own since I knew they were going to be slammed with the pilgrims coming to their place today. They really needed to have “all hands on deck”.
To be honest, I thought today’s confessions would be light. Last weekend was the first Saturday of the month, so more people usually go to confession then.
Today, however? It was busy. Not unmanageable. Just busy. I always begin fifteen minutes before the announced time for those who are already in church and in line. Beginning fifteen minutes early, I heard nonstop until the end of confession time. No one after time so it worked. It was just constant.
That being said, I’m happy to be able to bring that healing sacrament to so many who desire it.
Peace!
