I’m not sure that I’m ready for Christmas. I’m more sure that I’m not ready than I am ready. But ready or not, it’s coming and it’s coming quick.
Tomorrow, the Art and Environment committee members will be in the church after the 8:30 a.m. Mass to complete the decorations for Christmas. Tuesday morning are the last two Masses of Advent and then the Christmas marathon begins.
I’ll have the 8:30 a.m. Mass Tuesday and then spend the day somewhat resting before heading over to the church in the afternoon to set up for the 5:30 p.m. Mass. After Mass, I’ll rest up for a couple of hours and then have the Midnight Mass of Christmas. After that Mass, I’ll go to the house for a few hours sleep before coming over to the church Wednesday to open up the building for the Masses. I’ve got the 10:00 a.m. and Noon Masses on Wednesday but have to be in the building at 5:00 a.m. to open.
When the Noon Mass is over, I plan on locking the church, stumbling to the house, and collapsing. I hope I make it to my recliner. If not, the floor will have to do. 🙂
Are your ready for Christmas? I hope so.
