I was thinking of that old song, Hurt So Good today as I attempted to return to light duty. I went to the office this morning to prepare for the 8:30 a.m. school Mass and then some office work afterwards.
By 10:30 a.m., I was hurting so good. Yes, my knee/leg was grumbling for my having been on my feet throughout Mass as well as keeping my feet down in my chair working at my desk.
So, at that time, I told my leg that I would listen to it and I returned to the house, hurting so good but very happy about it. It was a successful few hours this morning and I look forward to returning tomorrow for more of the same.
I’m concerned about Wednesday. We’re expecting snow, maybe even big snow. It would make crossing the parking lot difficult in my brace. However, it’s not supposed to begin until later in the morning. Wednesday noon to Thursday noon is my “day off” so I won’t have to be outside. I’ll come back to the house after Wednesday morning Mass and will probably stay in the house until Friday morning.
Thursday morning, I have a follow-up appointment with my orthopedic doctor and am hoping for good news. I think I’m improving rather well.
Well, enough of that. Time to hit the sack.
g’night, all
