There Comes A Time

When you have to say, “Enough is enough.”

This weekend was a really busy one for me and, as I age, I find it much more difficult to maintain intensity and come out okay on the other side.

So, this morning, I had an All School Mass so that we could celebrate our third graders who received their First Communion this past Saturday and so that we, as a school community, could have our annual May Crowning.

After that Mass, I had a funeral Mass.

After the funeral Mass, I hit the wall.  I just couldn’t really summon  up the energy to do much more than tell the secretary that I needed to go away for a few hours.  I rested up and then was back to the office by 3:30 p.m. for a couple of appointments.

At 6:30 p.m., I got back to the house and I was done for the day and for the evening.  The last thing I’m doing is this blog entry and I’m going to try to crash for the night.  Tomorrow’s another day and I have physical therapy on top of it.  Oy.  Carry me through, Lord, carry me through.
