I got a little busy today. I had the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Afterwards, I had a funeral at 10:00 a.m.
When I finished the funeral, I met up with Fr. Jordan for a “final lunch”. He is leaving tomorrow for St. Louis for a couple of weeks for retreat before going to Denver, Colorado to begin novitiate. We went to Red Lobster.
When I brought him back to the parish so that he could get his car, I left and visited my aunt. She has been having a really hard time the past couple of weeks as her life begins to draw to a close. Yesterday, she felt so bad that she wasn’t even taking visitors. She felt somewhat better today but notices that things are declining. Her circulation is shutting down and, if she keeps her legs and feet down for very long, her legs will get mottled and her feet will turn deep purple.
After the visit, I had afternoon and the evening Mass. Fr. Corona was initially scheduled for Mass tonight but had a wedding at his former parish, so I took it. He has to get up tomorrow for the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m., though. I’m sleeping in. 🙂
So, all in all, I’m a bit tired and am going to hit the sack. This rainy weather is wearing on my sinuses and I have a perpetual headache. I’m looking for sleep to bring me some relief.
