Even though some people think we’ve been having pretty ideal weather, I have to say that it is getting to me. I think a large part of it has to do with allergies. There seems to be a lot of junk in the air right now that is affecting my allergies, even though I am on medications for it. Between the stuff in the air and the different fronts coming and going affecting my arthritis, I’m just feeling old and beaten up.
Today was pretty busy for me feeling this way as well. I had the 6:30 and 9:00 a.m. Masses for the Holy Day of Obligation (the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary). After Mass, I took some of the servers through the school building for a “sneak peek” tour. It is really amazing how good the school is looking as things get buttoned up and cleaned up in preparation for the teachers coming in next week and the students returning in two weeks.
On Thursday, they are scheduled to fill in the trench they dug from the mechanical room to the new dry cooler pad. After filling it in, they will black top the area, pour concrete for the portion of the sidewalk that they ripped out, and have the main entrance of the school open again.
After the school mini-tour, I had a few meetings and then a bunch of office work.
I came back to the house a couple of hours ago just a little too beat to do anything else. That’s not usually me. I don’t usually quit completely before 4:00 p.m. But, there you have it, I quit.
I’m going to hit the recliner for the second night in a row and hope that I fall asleep. My hopes for a good night’s sleep last night were dashed so I’m hoping that I get a good night’s sleep tonight.
