I went to the school gym this morning early to help the cast prepare for their first performance for our students and some visiting schools. The directors told me that “the set is now complete, what do you think?” and I looked at it briefly and said, “It looks great.” Only on closer inspection did I see that they included my name in the backdrop of the town. 🙂
On a separate — and more important — note, the show this morning was fantastic! I told the cast and crew beforehand that they “might have a show” and one of them said, “The operative word being might?” I told them that it would all depend upon what they left on the stage. Well, they put themselves all out and entranced the audience. After all the practicing they did, it is always entirely different acting in front of an audience.
We hope that you will consider being a part of our audience the next few days. The Music Man, Jr. takes place tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 15, 16, and 17) at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 18, and 2:00 p.m. The doors open a half hour before showtime.
