T’was the night before vacation
and all through my brain
thoughts and plans were racing
faster than a runaway train.
The suitcase was packed
with items galore
while I fretted and worried
that I might need something more.
The carry-on: it, too,
was loaded with care
with medications and money
in case I had to buy something there.
So, I’ll zip up the bags
and jump into the bed
and allow sweet dreams of Disney
to dance in my head.
I’ll be back before you know it,
I can’t stay there forever.
I just hope you like my poem
and think it to be clever.
So, to one and to all
i say farewell to thee.
I’ll think of you while I gaze
at the Animal Kingdom’s big tree. 🙂
