I put this on Facebook earlier today because there always seems to be some kind-hearted parishioner who falls for these scammers. I thought I would post it on my blog this evening as well.
The following email is going around purporting to be from me. Please do not respond to it. They will only ask you for gift cards to be used for charities. Yeah, right.
