This morning, after a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, I went to Marytown to pray. Unfortunately, there were volunteers cleaning the chapel at the time. I have no problem with that. I commend them on the appearance they maintain at the chapel. However, the vacuum cleaner sounded like a jet coming in for a landing. 🙂
So, instead of staying in the main chapel, I asked the attendant at the front door for permission to go downstairs to their Maximilian Kolbe museum.

Fr. Maximilian Kolbe

A portrait of the man whose life Kolbe spared
by taking his place in the starvation bunker

A visual reminder of those starved to death

Hope can be found in all places,
even places of death
