Is There A Quintfecta?

I know there’s a trifecta.  What about a quintfecta?  I feel as if I ran one today.  It was the following series:

8:30 a.m. Morning Mass
10:00 a.m.  Memorial Mass
2:00 p.m.  Wedding
3:30 p.m.  Confessions
5:30 p.m.  Evening Mass

I don’t even know what I win for crossing the finish line.  A gold star in heaven?  A couple of brownie points?  You know what, I’ll settle for a smile from God and a gentle nod of His head.  That will make all the work today worth it.

For now, though, it’s time for bed.  I have the early Masses tomorrow (the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m.) so I will be getting up at 4:15 a.m. and in the church at 5:00 a.m. so that I can set up and get out of everyone’s way when they come early to pray.

But before I go to bed, share my joy with me.  I gave one of our parishioners (thanks, Susan!) the Advent reflections for this year so that she can proofread them.  She’s been proofing them since I’ve been writing them for the parish each Advent/Christmas.  Once she finishes, I’ll make whatever corrections are necessary and then they will be sent to the people who format them and prepare them to be sent to the printers.

The reflection books always go out the weekend before the First Sunday of Advent so that anyone can use them daily in their spiritual preparation for Christmas.  I’m so happy that they are finished, at least in their raw format.

Okay, that’s enough.  g’night
