Our conference opening night was at the museum center that used to be the train station. It’s huge. The dinner was a “Taste of Cincinnati”. We had Skyline chili (a local specialty on spaghetti with tons of cheese and onions) as well as chili dogs, ribs, salad, and a local ice cream.
Afterwards, we were invited to go downstairs to the Holocaust museum. Very moving exhibits. My heart always breaks thinking about man’s inhumanity to others. I wonder if we will ever learn. sigh
We were able to put in our thoughts and pledge to do something positive. I took the opportunity to do so. Little did I know that the bishop was coming up behind me and took a picture of my pic in the collage!
