This is certainly the time of year (as it is during Lent) when priests are very busy with confessions. I just came back from helping to hear confessions at Our Lady of Grace Church in Highland. The religious education students were given the opportunity to go to confession for Christmas.
I was very happy to help Fr. Brian especially since he will be helping me at our parish’s Advent Penance Service next Tuesday evening. The priests often help one another at the different parishes. It kills two birds with one stone: gives us help so that we’re not there for too long and gives people attending a chance to go to a priest who does not know them.
If you haven’t gone to confession yet, Christmas is only a week and a half away. You might want to consider doing so.
