Not Getting Older . . . Getting Better

Too often, I lament the phrase of doctors “at your age”.  It generally means that, because I’m getting older, I’m getting worse.

I went to the optometrist today to have my eyes refracted for a potential change in prescription.  He said that I, indeed, needed a change but then explained the circumstances.  My present prescription is too strong.  As I have aged, my eyes have “relaxed” and they do not need as strong a prescription.  He says that, when I get my new glasses, I will be pleased with the result.

So, not everything gets worse with age.  Yee Haw!  🙂
