As they used to say on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In, “You bet your sweet bippy.”
The students, faculty, and staff showered me with love this morning.
At Mass, I was presented with my diploma. I told the students that they were all smarter than me. It took me 23 years to graduate. I told them the the I-Read exam was harder than I thought it would be to pass. That got a laugh out of them. 🙂
A member of student council presented a gift to me and they had me open it in front of everyone. It was the Lego Magic of Disney. Many of the scenes were representative of Disney, Jr. Musicals that we have done through the years.
The gift was accompanied by a card signed by the council representing the student body.
Inside the card was another gift, a $500 Disney Gift Card. Guess who’s going to have the time of his life this coming January?! 🙂
As Rod Serling would say, “Imagine, if you will, over 600 people wearing matching socks on the final full day of school to honor their retiring pastor.” I was bowled over by the socks with my picture on them along with the school logo and a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, one of my favorite fantasy books.
