A Very Warm Day

This morning, I met up with one of my former parishioners from Queen of All Saints.  Greg left the police department in Michigan City and is now a member of Walt Disney’s security, specifically as a dog handler.  We spent our morning do a few of the Disney Classics.  We began with the Carousel of Progress.

After the Carousel of Progress, we rode the people mover.

And then went to see the Hall of Presidents.

After the Hall of Presidents, we stopped for lunch.  I was able to get reservations at Be Our Guest, the castle of Beauty and the Beast.  We ate in the West Wing which houses the slashed paintings and the enchanted rose.

Afterwards, I made my way back to the Boardwalk, getting back about 3:00 p.m.  At 5:30 p.m., another good friend picked me up for his daughter’s soccer game.  It was her senior’s honor night at the game.  After a long game of 0-0, in the last two minutes, his daughter’s team scored two points, winning their honor’s night 2-0.  I still cannot believe that she is old enough to be a senior in high school.

I got back to the Boardwalk late (for me).  I made it back about 10:00 p.m.  Now that I have finished this blog post, I’m gong to bed.  g’night
