This was a strange day. I haven’t been feeling well the past couple of days because my sinuses were bugging me really bad with the weather we’ve been having and I haven’t been sleeping well. My day began with the all-school Mass at 8:30 a.m.
After Mass, I went to the Pastoral Center to get some work done. I celebrate Mass at the Pastoral Center each week on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. (unless we move the Mass as we are going to do next week for the Holy Day of Obligation).
After Mass, I had a couple of appointments with people and then headed back to the parish for a few appointments there.
At 7:00 p.m., I was at a prayer service for our school parents and religious education parents of third graders who are preparing for the Sacraments of First Confession and First Communion. I tried to give them my usual spiritual pep talk but kept hacking throughout it. The air was dry, my throat was dry, and the cough drop I was sucking on just wasn’t helping me much. It was not good; but, I made my way through it.
So, here I sit, knowing that I got a lot of things done today but feeling like I really did not accomplish a lot. Just one of those days. I hope tomorrow is better.
