At Mass this morning, a couple of my parishioners were sharing that they were still without power. Trucks were seen going into some of their subdivisions. People have definitely lost everything in their refrigerators and most likely their freezers as well. Unless they had battery backups on their sump pumps, a lot of people are fighting water that came into their homes. I really feel for them and hope that they get things straightened out soon.
Today turned out to be a really lovely day. Beautiful skies. Lessened humidity. You wouldn’t know that we had just gone through the past several days of, shall I say, heck.
