This morning, we made port at La Spezia. It is the jumping off point for excursions to Florence and Pisa. For me, it was a day of rest in order to fight my jetlag. It felt good to remain on board and take it easy.
When we arrived at port, the sun was coming up.
When we left port, sunset was in progress.
Tonight, at dinnertime, the captain announced what I call our European Bonus. You see, Europe exits daylight saving time a week earlier than we do in the states. So, tonight, we set our clocks back one hour for an extra hour of sleep. I’ll take it! 🙂
