This afternoon, I had the chance “to go home again.”
Two parishioners requested of the new pastor permission for me to celebrate the Noon Mass and, during the Mass, to bless their 50 years together. I was honored to do so. It meant a lot to them — and to me — because I did this for them ten years ago at their 40th Anniversary.
It felt strange to be the “visiting priest” at the place I was pastor for twenty-three years but it felt good to be back there again.
