Today was a much better day for me.
Last night, I went to bed early because I was so sleep deprived from the night before. I got up early this morning so that I could go to Sophia’s and meet Deacon Joe for breakfast. That used to be a weekly thing for us and we are now trying to get together at least once a month. It was good seeing him.
This afternoon, someone from Van Drunen came by my condo to service my furnace. He checked it, cleaned it, and replaced the pad on the humidifier. He also signed me up for an annual maintenance contract with them. So I prepaid my spring servicing of my air conditioner. I’ve always found maintenance contracts to be convenient and cost-saving. They lock in a price and often give discounts on needed parts. And Van Drunen has done a lot of business at the parish so I am very confident of their service and reliability.
A new credit card came in for me today as well. I’m now an official card carrier for Costco. I had to give up my Sam’s Club card when I left the parish and thought I’d go with Costco in the future.
