And The Choice?

Today was a busy day for me.

I had the 8:30 a.m. Mass at the parish followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass for the Seniors’ Group which was followed by a Morning of Reflection.  At 12:00 Noon, I had a Funeral Mass and left the parish around 1:00 p.m.

For the Morning of Reflection, I told the seniors that they had two choices.  I had a presentation all worked up and ready to give to them OR they could choose to have an open-forum question and answer session regarding the faith.  They were intrigued with the idea.  One person asked if they could have both and I said we could start with questions if they wished and if the questions fizzled out, I could go to an abbreviated presentation.

They accepted.

We never made it to a presentation.  They had some really good questions and it appears that they enjoyed the morning a lot.  It made me feel really good.  On top of it, I have a presentation in my computer that I can always pull out some other time.  Win – Win. 🙂

Tomorrow is my last day covering the parish.  I have the 8:30 a.m. Mass and then return to the condo to do laundry and pack my bags.  Friday morning, I leave for the airport.  I’m going on an annual birthday cruise.  Another win – win.
