Mexican Riviera 2026 – Day One

I was awake early this morning and watched the Serenade come in to port.  It was a beautiful time!

She looks just as good in the daylight 🙂

The Serenade of the Seas is a Radiance Class ship.  It is one of their older and smaller ships.   Launched in 2002, it holds around 2,500 passengers at double occupancy.  The class has a lot of glass on the ships so that you can see outside from many places of the ship, even many of the elevators.

The rooms are a bit smaller than ones that I sail on but they are appointed nicely and clean.

Talk about perfect timing. As we were turning away from the port, a sailboat went by. I waited until, until, until the top of its mast pointed to the room I had for the past two days!

The sun setting was spectacular tonight.

The next two days are sea days so I will probably be sharing pictures of the ship with you.  There’s a lot that is different from the other classes of ships that I’ve cruised on Royal Caribbean.

For now, though, I’m going to hit the sack.

g’night
