I know, I know, some of you will be saying, “Good God, Mike, have you been living under a rock all these years?!” Well, maybe I have. Because, I have to admit that today was the very first day that I went to a Chick-fil-a. And, I have to tell you, I understand what people say when they claim that their chicken sandwiches are the best around.
I took one bite of my sandwich and thought, “YUM!” Actually, I have to say that my chicken tasted a lot like turkey, very good turkey. The waffle fries were passable, I could have used them crispier. However, what took me over the top was the sugar-free lemonade.
OMG. The lemonade was LEMONADE. It was tart — mouth-watering tart — and so good. Then, as I was finishing up meeting with a friend for our lunch meeting, one of the employees asked me if I wanted a refill. I didn’t know there were free refills. I asked if I could just have the entire jug of the stuff!
So, Chick-fil-a made a convert out of me. I will definitely go back there again. When, I don’t know. But I will make sure to stop if I am in the area and looking for a good meal.
