From Bishop McClory Regarding The Carmelite Home Fire

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Many of you may have already heard of the tragic fire that destroyed a significant part of the St. Joseph’s Carmelite Home in East Chicago on Sunday, May 16. First and foremost, let us give thanks to God that everyone was safely evacuated, and no harm came to any of the residents. Let us continue to keep the Carmelite sisters and those they care for in our prayers.

In my visit to the home this morning Sister Maria Giuseppe, Administrator of the home, and all the sisters expressed their gratitude for the many who have shared a desire to support the community. Information regarding donations can be found on the organization’s Facebook page St. Joseph’s Carmelite Home. The community greatly appreciates gift cards or financial gifts which can be made through the official Charity.Go.Fund.Me page. https://charity.gofundme.com/…/st-josephs-carmelite…

Jesus, I trust in You.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
