I am having a really hard time believing that it’s the beginning of Holy Week this weekend. Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord? What happened to Christmas? The time flew way too fast.
Some people tried to give me an out when I expressed that earlier today. They said that I was distracted by my recent surgery and that I lost a couple of week recovering. While I might be able to buy that to a certain extent, I cannot accept that completely. It just came way too quick.
Of course, going quick is good in that I will make my vacation at the end of the month that much sooner. I will be leaving after my Masses on the Second Sunday of Easter to go on 4 day/3 day back-to-back Bahamian cruises. I can’t wait for that. It’ll be good to get away and rest. I can put that toward my continued post-surgical healing. I’m still really tired and can use the break.
When I get back, it’ll be quick sailing to First Communion, Graduation, and our annual summer festival. Then, a week away the second week of July for my annual private retreat. I’ll be going to St. Meinrad Archabbey in Southern Indiana for that.
