Did you ever have one of those days where things went rather smoothly but in the back of your mind you think that you forgot something? That has been my day today.
I had the 10:00 and 12:00 Noon Masses. After the Noon Mass, I locked and alarmed the church and then came over to the house for a quick bit for lunch. After that, I changed and went to a local funeral home for a wake service for tomorrow’s funeral. I spoke with several family members and friends and got a lot of interesting information about the deceased.
When I came back home, I did a bit of office work, at dinner, and then watched some television. But, in the back of my mind, I think I’m forgetting something. I checked my calendar. Nope. There’s nothing there that I missed.
I think it might just be the ol’ “calm before the storm” feeling. Tomorrow, I have the 8:30 a.m. Mass, a 10:00 a.m. funeral, a 1:00 p.m. office visit with my cardiologist, a 3:00 p.m. late lunch/early dinner with my brother, a 5:00 p.m. appointment, a 6:45 p.m. appointment, and a 7:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus Meeting. Going to be busy. Which makes my downtime today feel like a mistake.
Ah well. It was a nice day today.
