Sea Day Number 4 – All Saints Day

I began this morning thankful to God for calmer seas that we endured throughout the night.

I also began the day by going to Mass on this Holy Day of Obligation – All Saints Day.

I’m not trying to compare myself but I do have this to say:  you people back home are lucky I preach the way I do and not like this guy.  He’s likeable and he preaches like he’s teaching seminary classes.  Today’s homily for our 8:00 a.m. Mass ended at 8:29 a.m. (not like I’m timing him or anything. 🙂 ) And that’s his usual for each day.  All for Jesus…

The afternoon was really pretty off my balcony, though the waters were still churning.

The Noon report from the captain:  We’ll be sailing through rain on and off as yesterday. Presently we’re in shallower waters, only 7,500 feet.

Through the night we could get into another system with 13-14 ft. waves. Tomorrow should be much clearer. (After hearing that for three days, we’ll wait and see. 🙂 )

All in all, I’m having a fantastic time. These kinds of conditions are expected by those of us who do transatlantic cruises and the ships we’re in are built for this as well.

The waters and sky looked pretty much like that all afternoon.

Sunset today had the potential of being really nice but those ever-present clouds were, well, present.

This evening, we had a performer in the main theater:

To get an idea of her style, here’s a YouTube performance clip:

Well, that’s about all for today, my friends.  Oh, except for the “news” that I get an extra hour of sleep again tonight.  I’m loving this.  🙂

g’night
