Well, my bags are packed and I’m ready to go; but, there’s no taxi waiting outside for me and blowing its horn. 🙂
I did a little laundry tonight and packed my suitcase. Tomorrow, after my 10:00 a.m. Mass, I will be leaving with one of the other priests from our diocese for St. Meinrad Archabbey Guest House for a week’s private retreat.
I plan to use the week praying, recharging the ol’ spiritual batteries, and focusing upon Advent. Yes, Advent.
I will be writing daily reflections that will be sent to the parish for the Advent and Christmas Season. I hope that the retreat inspires me to get a huge jump start on them while at the same time jump starting my spiritual life. At this point in time and in my life, I’m getting tired. I need this respite away from everything to focus on the Lord.
