Whining mode on
Today was a bit of a downer for me. I got the blues after celebrating the 10:00 a.m. live-streamed Mass for the parish. I’m putting my all into the Masses but, I have to tell you, it’s really hard not having a community present. We are, after all, a communal people and a sacramental people to boot.
Knowing that there are parishioners who so desire to be present at Mass and receive Holy Communion, knowing that some of my parishioners have missed their Confirmation a couple of Saturdays ago and knowing that other parishioners will miss their First Communion Mass that typically takes place the first Saturday of May, I’m just feeling sad.
I’m sad. And, with the weather, I hurt. My arthritis is awful. And I’ve got a headache from Hades because of my sinuses.
There. I’ve said it. I’ve whined. Now, it’s time to get over it and get on with it. Hopefully tomorrow will be another crack at a good day!
