Not Like We’re Going Anywhere

Hey, I know it’s not like we’re going anywhere anytime soon; however, if you are reading this and live in the state of Indiana, please make a mental note that, beginning July 1st, it is illegal to drive while holding a cell phone.  You could be ticketed for it and, beginning July 1, 2021, you will even receive points on your license that could lead to the revocation of your driver’s license by the state.

Distracted driving is a very serious matter and many accidents come about because of it.

We will still be able to use phones in hands-free mode and we can hold them in our hand if stopped in our vehicle.  We just cannot hold them while driving.

I think it’s a great thing.  Now, maybe we can pass laws about drivers using their mirrors to apply makeup or lipstick or people shaving while driving.  I’ve even seen drivers reading newspapers or books while driving.

Let’s be safe out there; that is, whenever we are allowed back out there again.
