Ahhhhh
Another peaceful day.
I really like beginning my days with Mass. I miss not have a daily morning Mass to celebrate and am happy that I can find on on transatlantic cruises. On shorter cruises, many lines do not bring priests on board to do Mass. But on longer cruises — and holiday cruises — you can almost always count on one.
After Mass, I had a leisurely breakfast. Then, I grabbed my Kindle and went down to the Schooner Bar to sit in one of their comfortable chairs and read. I had my beverage cup filled with Cherry Coke Zero. Since it was morning, the bar was closed so there were very few people there. The other few were doing the same thing I was: relaxing, reading, and/or surfing the net on their laptops.
After a couple of hours, I went on the prowl for lunch. Since I had a later breakfast, I didn’t want to have much for lunch. I’m trying to keep my weight close to the same post-cruise as it was pre-cruise. I’ll let you know if I succeed or now. I have in the past. (I’ve also failed miserably in the past. 🙂 )
In the afternoon, it was back to reading on the balcony as I overlooked the waters. The starboard side of the ship was facing Cartagena. The port side of the ship, which I am on, faced the marina we were docked in and the ocean beyond its entrance.
Dinner came around and I had French onion soup and tiger shrimp with rice and mixed grilled vegetables.

Tomorrow, we make port in Malaga. That is one of our two last ports before we begin eight sea days in our return to Port Canaveral, Florida. I don’t intend to go into Malaga as I have been there enough in the past. If something catches my fancy, I -might- go. But otherwise, I plan on getting off the ship and going into the terminal. They have a huge store there where you can get all sorts of things. I plan to buy sweets/snacks for my cabin attendant and table attendants for the remainder of the cruise.
For now, it’s off to bed and, hopefully, another good night’s sleep.
