Third Day Of Retreat – Settled In

Just like vacation, it always takes a couple of days on retreat before I feel “settled in”.  This morning was that time.

I woke up feeling relaxed and unattached from anything else in the world.  No worries.  No plans.  Nothing to think about but “the moment”.

The sad part of that is the knowledge that I only have two more days to experience that feeling as Friday morning we head back home and jump back in to life.  I don’t know exactly what I’m jumping back into either.  I’m still trying to figure out this thing called “retired”.  🙂

This evening, we went to Mama T’s in Huntingburg for dinner.  We discovered the place last year at the recommendation of a person working the front desk of the retreat house.  It’s a great place, especially if you like grilled steaks.  Yum!

Now it’s time for bed and then another day of quiet prayer.
