Yesterday, I shared with you the fact that my eyes are bumming me out. Today, I say, “Buck up”. We all have things that we need to deal with and I am just the same as anyone else.
This afternoon, I had the Rite of the Reception of the Body of Msgr. John F. Morales, J.C.D. He was a good man and a good friend and I am sorry that he was not able to return to our diocese to live as he had intended. We may make plans; but, God has His own plans for us.
John “sat on the fence” for several years trying to decide whether or not to return to Northwest Indiana. If you know someone who is sitting on the fence about any kind of decision, see what you can do to give them a gentle nudge off of the fence and to commit to a decision. I can’t help but think that, had Msgr. Morales come home several years ago, he would have be happy with his decision.
I’m so sorry about your friend, Msgr. Morales. I can readily feel your loss because it’s almost 3 months since my son died. Sometimes I feel that I should talk to you about my thoughts and misgivings, but I do know that you have your own thoughts and misgivings. Ah, life!… it does have it’s challenges… and I suppose we will miss them. I know I’m moving on, and so will you. But in the meantime… God help us!
The good news is that God DOES help us! 🙂
