On Monday, January 24, 2022, Mr. Rick Mlynarski (Mr. M.), our band director of just shy of 50 years, passed away suddenly. We were really in the throes of grief when our parish’s Director of Music, Angie Lorandos, volunteered to take the band for the remainder of the year.
The band had their Spring Concert this evening (they will be performing tomorrow for the school community) and I have to tell you, you could just see Mr. M. glowing with pride for his students from his place in heaven. They did a fantastic job.
