Monitored Once Again

On March 24th, I had surgery to replace my pacemaker/defibrillator due to the battery’s imminent depletion.  Today, a couple days past two months, I finally received the bedside monitor that will connect to my pacemaker each night to check its activity and send monthly data to the cardiologist (or immediately if something “critical” takes place).

It really makes me wonder why they don’t have monitors available to send home with you when you have surgery.  It just mystifies me.  However, I am thankful because I have heard there are people that have been waiting for four months or more for theirs.  Since mine is a newer monitor, they had they available for shipping.

That’s all the news that’s fit to print.
