The senseless violence in our country is just too much. My heart broke when I heard about the fourteen school children and one teacher who were shot and killed by an eighteen year old high school student after he shot and killed his grandmother.
Acts of violence have been encouraged, suggested, and condoned too frequently — violent video games, slasher flicks, calls for violence by radical groups, et cetera. Violence toward another is never the answer. All it does is perpetuate more violence and collect more victims.
I pray for the families who have lost loved ones today and I pray that our nation gets itself put back together again before we destroy one another senselessly.
