It didn’t begin that way. I was awakened at 3:00 a.m. (yes, a.m.) by the loudspeakers and noise down on the Boardwalk as Disney’s half-marathon ran by the buildings on the way to EPCOT. I mean, come on. Really. 3:00 a.m.?! In the past it was 4:00 or 4:30 a.m. The lines were finishing up around 7:00 a.m.
At 9:00 a.m., a friend picked me up and we went together to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Had a great morning and early afternoon there. Did the usual: Harambe Safari and It’s a Bug’s Life. We also went to their Finding Nemo musical. It was fantastic. I haven’t seen it since it returned post-pandemic. Next Wednesday, we’re going to go to Gatorland. Greg swears by it and I’ve checked it on line. If the weather is nice, look for some gator pics.
Mid-afternoon, I came back to the Boardwalk and then, this evening, went on a “fireworks cruise” where we pick up a pontoon boat by the Yacht Club marina and queue up under the bridge at EPCOT’s International Gateway and watched their new fireworks show. Here is a YouTube video of the new show if you’re interested:
Tomorrow is going to be an iffy day. It’s supposed to be low to mid-70’s and thunderstorms all day. It’s the same system that may bring snow to us back in the Chicagoland area. It just might be an indoors, chill-and-do-nothing kind of day tomorrow. 🙂
