I wouldn’t say that I’m addicted to cruises. I just think that, for me, they are the perfect vacation. I don’t have to worry about traveling here and there by car or plane or train. I can fly to the port, unpack into my hotel room, and have the hotel do all the traveling! I like that.
I also like the fact that I can get a nice vacation relatively cheap. The cost of my vacation includes food and entertainment. For a nominal fee, I can purchase an internet package and a soda package. That pretty much takes care of me.
The other thing that I really like is the fact that I can sail Monday through Friday. This leaves my weekends open so that I can celebrate Mass for my parish and then take off.
That being said, I just booked my spring cruise for April 2021. I am leaving after my Masses on the Second Sunday of Easter, Mercy Sunday. I’ll fly in to Orlando the evening before my cruise and be gone April 12-16.
